Spatial Laboratory Scientist

Full-Time, One-North, Singapore


Job Description Summary

ImmunoQs' Spatial Biology Lab is looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to work closely with the Spatial Biology Lab Director to develop new assays and perform daily operations of the lab. The candidate will play an essential role for creating and maintaining an efficient lab working environment that will enable our Spatial Biology and AI Labs to innovate and make new spatial omics technologies more accessible to clinicians and researchers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize new imaging assays, techniques, and/or biomarkers in collaboration with our Scientific teams and external collaborators.
  • Perform H&E, IHC, multiplex IHC, spatial omics, and other molecular biology experiments on tissues or other laboratory specimens.
  • Process, fix, stain, and manage tissues or other laboratory specimens.
  • Perform image quality control and scoring using ImmunoQs’ digital analytics platform and perform basic data analysis and graph generation.
  • Ensure proper lab documentations and records for traceability.
  • Perform day-to-day lab administrative tasks, including inventory management, procurement, equipment maintenance, lab safety assessment, and facility management.
  • Learn the latest spatial omics instruments, techniques, and procedures by attending/participating in appropriate workshops, seminars, and courses.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in biomedical science, biological science, laboratory medicine, life sciences, medical laboratory science, or other relevant fields.
  • Good knowledge in molecular biology, cancer, and immunology are required. Previous experience in tissue staining or imaging is highly desirable.
  • Preferably with 1 or 2 years of experience working in a histology, research or medical laboratory.
  • Familiar with procurement, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Keen attention to detail with a proactive mindset in approaching identifying and resolving operational challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with good documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
